Taylor Bay, Providenciales — Turks and Caicos. Just around the point from Sapodilla Bay, Taylor Bay is one of the calmest beaches in Turks and Caicos: the water stays waist-deep for a long way out, warm and glassy over pale sand. With few crowds and wide-open views to the west, it is the island's favourite spot to wade out and watch the sun go down.

  • Best time to visit: Year-round; December to April is the dry season, and sunsets are spectacular in every month.
  • Average temperature: About 27–31°C / 81–88°F all year, with very warm, shallow water.
  • Good to know: Taylor Bay is so shallow and sheltered that it is one of the favourite beaches on the island for families with young children.
