Yonaha Maehama, Miyakojima — Japan. On Miyakojima in Okinawa, Yonaha Maehama is a seven-kilometre sweep of powder-white coral sand on some of the clearest turquoise water in Japan, often called the country's most beautiful beach. The long Kurima Bridge stretches across the sea beside it.

  • Best time to visit: May to October for warm beach days; avoid the peak typhoon weeks of August and September.
  • Average temperature: Summer highs of about 30–32°C / 86–90°F; the sea reaches around 28–29°C.
  • Good to know: Rent snorkel gear and visit the reef coves at Imgya and Aragusuku, and drive out to the Higashi-Hennazaki cape for sunset.

 

The Miyako Lime set pairs a vivid lime triangle top scattered with small white starbursts with a solid sky-blue tie-side bottom.
