Îles de la Madeleine — Quebec, Canada. The Îles de la Madeleine are a chain of islands in the Gulf of St. Lawrence, joined by long ribbons of sand dunes. Red sandstone cliffs, brightly painted wooden houses and wide empty beaches give the archipelago its look.
