Grace Bay Beach, Providenciales — Turks and Caicos. A long sweep of powder-white sand on the north shore of Providenciales, Grace Bay is protected as part of Princess Alexandra National Park. A barrier reef offshore keeps the turquoise water calm and clear enough to see the bottom from the shore, and the beach is regularly ranked among the best in the world.

  • Best time to visit: Year-round; December to April is the dry season and the most popular time, while the hurricane season runs June to November.
  • Average temperature: About 27–31°C / 81–88°F all year, with sea temperatures of 25–29°C.
  • Good to know: Turks and Caicos is surrounded by one of the largest coral reef systems in the world, and Grace Bay's offshore reef is a snorkelling spot you can swim to from the sand.
