Cathedral Cove, Coromandel — New Zealand. Reached by a cliff-top walking track near Hahei on the Coromandel Peninsula, Cathedral Cove is a white-sand cove named for the huge limestone arch that joins two beaches. It sits inside Te Whanganui-A-Hei Marine Reserve, so the clear turquoise water is full of life for snorkellers and kayakers.

  • Best time to visit: December to March, New Zealand's summer, for warm days and calm water; go early to beat the crowds.
  • Average temperature: Summer highs of about 23–25°C / 73–77°F; the sea reaches around 20–21°C in late summer.
  • Good to know: The walking track from Hahei takes about 45 minutes each way; time a visit to Hot Water Beach at low tide to dig your own hot pool.

 

The Cathedral Cove Blueberry set pairs a deep-purple triangle top with light-aqua spiral motifs with a tie-side bottom in diagonal aqua, purple and cream stripes.

Made from soft recycled fabric with double layering and UPF 50+.
